First Impressions

The driving experience in the All-New Renault Megane 100% Electric is nothing short of amazing. It is incredibly smooth, with very little noise compared to other vehicles. The regenerative brakes give you great control over the car and make it feel like it is gliding on air. We tested the car on some winding roads and it handled well, with minimal body roll and good grip.

We could also feel the power of the electric motor as we accelerated up steep hills, allowing us to climb with ease. The ride quality is top notch with its suspension absorbing any bumps or potholes in the road.

In terms of acceleration, the electric motor gives you instant torque, making it feel responsive and agile. Additionally, the range of up to 200 km on a single charge gives you plenty of time to explore.

We felt safe and secure in this car as it has some great safety features such as lane departure warnings and automatic emergency braking. This adds an extra layer of protection while driving. We also found the various driver assist systems to be helpful and intuitive.

Interior

The All-New Renault Megane E-Tech 100% electric has an eye-catching exterior design, featuring 20” alloy wheels, full-LED signature lighting, and gold chrome accents. Inside the car, the widened structure and new openR extra-slim dashboard provides more space in the passenger compartment.

It's an inviting cabin. Lots of soft trim, stitching and interesting textures wrap the surfaces.

And screens. Of course. A central one in landscape orientation, and aside it a detailed driver's screen, not the tiddlers of the VW ID.3. So if you're stretching the range you can get plenty of energy-use info to help you balance speed against battery usage.

The screen system is based on an OS called Android Automotive and has plenty of handy tiles you can populate with displays as you wish. Interestingly this Android system integrates Apple CarPlay pretty tightly too. The openR link system offers up to 5 accounts and allows access to Google Maps, Google Assistant, Google Play, and up to 22 driver-assistance systems and safety systems.

The exclusive new sound system provided an immersive experience for all passengers, and the quality was fantastic.

The system's menus are sensibly organised, which is quite a feat given the number of things in the Megane that are configurable. It all works snappily, with good definition too.

Our Verdict

The All-New Renault Megane E-tech 100% Electric is a great vehicle with plenty of features and good performance. The car's design is sleek and modern, making it very attractive. Driving it was smooth and enjoyable, with the electric motor providing plenty of power for city driving.

We were particularly impressed with the car's infotainment system, which provided us with everything we needed to make our driving experience more enjoyable.
